Education and Childcare Specialist

UPDATE 17 Jan - Following interest, we have reviewed the location requirement for the Education and Childcare Specialist which previously required candidates to live within an hour’s travel time of Andover. We are now welcoming applications from candidates within two hours travel time of Andover, providing a business case can be made for how this can be achieved without affecting the candidate's work-life balance or the role delivery. AFF will reimburse travel time and expenses within an hour’s journey of AFF Central Office.

The Education and Childcare Specialist is a key part of the AFF Policy and Research Branch. This post is the subject matter expert on education and childcare issues, offering support to families, acting as an advocate for change of necessary policies and liaising with relevant agencies.

The post is part-time with flexible hours (25 per week) and paid on an hourly basis. The post holder will be home-based, with regular travel to attend meetings, roadshows and events. The post holder will need to live within two hours’ commute of Andover. Read more
