Rachel joined AFF from a public sector grant-making organisation that provides charitable funding to the Armed Forces community, where she specialised in policy, impact, evaluation and research. She has a MSc in Public Health (Mental Health) from King’s College London and has a research interest in mental health interventions for the Armed Forces community.
In her spare time, she is a Trustee for a Bristol-based charity that supports children and young people with additional needs and their families. Rachel has been a member of the Armed Forces community for most of her life, wearing a number of different ‘hats’ as daughter, partner, wife, war widow and now wife of a REME veteran.
She is privileged to be able to bring lived experience to her role to bring empathy and understanding to the challenges Armed Forces families face.
