AFF in conversation with Army policy makers

AFF joined a families’ policies roundtable meeting, chaired by Major General Paul Griffiths, the Army’s Director of Personnel, to discuss the issues affecting serving personnel and their families.

Chief Executive, Collette Musgrave and Policy & Research Director, Michelle Alston, raised issues and gave evidence, which helps policy makers to shape a better future for the whole Army family. They discussed several issues including support to non-UK families, spousal employment, housing and the importance of communicating directly to families.

Lt Col Tony Frank,SO1 Personal Services, Personnel Directorate, Army HQ, said: “The team at Army Headquarters greatly values the opportunity to come together with AFF and other key organisations to discuss the issues that matter most to our people and their families.

“AFF plays a vital role as our critical friend, providing evidence to help shape policy and generate change where it is necessary.”
