Children aged 16-17 can travel unescorted on military aircraft

Until 3 May 2020, children aged 16-17 can travel unescorted on MOD-provided aircraft.

Parents must ensure that their child can access money and supplies in case of an unscheduled overnight hotel stay.

This has been communicated to all military booking offices and supersedes the current passenger travel policy (in JSP 800 Vol 2), which is being reviewed. It is also subject to parental authority being given on the relevant proforma.

Additional passenger information can be found at www.raf.mod.uk/our-organisation/stations/raf-brize-norton/passenger-info/ or via the passenger information line: 01993 895861.
