Refund of legal expenses
If you are a homeowner and you have to sell up and buy a new home when you’re assigned to a new duty station, or you let out your home when assigned to a new duty station, you could be eligible to get help to cover legal expenses up to £5,000. For more information, see Discover My Benefits.
For full details and to see if you would be eligible, speak to your unit HR Admin or see JSP 752 – Chapter 12, Section 3.
However, if you are in a Future Accommodation Model (FAM) pilot area, the benefits you may be eligible for will differ. More info is here.
The Army over-37 provision
The Army over-37 provision supports those who serve unaccompanied later in their careers, by helping with the cost of settling their family in the UK and enabling them to serve at their duty station without financial penalty. This means they will not have to pay the extra costs for Single Living Accommodation (SLA).
For more details or to check eligibility, speak to your unit HR Admin or see JSP 752 – Chapter 12, Section 7.
Again, if you are in a FAM pilot area, the benefits you may be eligible for will differ. More info is here.
