Over the next few weeks, we are focusing on housing and the issues that affect you as an Army family.
With the new housing contracts for Service Family Accommodation (SFA) going live in the spring, we’re busy working behind the scenes with DIO and the new suppliers to make sure families’ needs are kept at the forefront of their plans so the transition can go as smoothly as possible.
We’re planning to host a Facebook Live in the new year so keep an eye on our social media for details and the chance to submit your questions.
During housing month, we’ll also be focusing on FAM and highlight the policy changes that have come into play recently.
If you’re thinking of retaining your SFA on posting, we’ll outline the circumstances when you can do this, and take a look at what to expect if your boiler breaks down this winter.
Also look out for an explanation on the process when applying for Substitute Service Family Accommodation (SSFA), advice on making alterations to your quarter and a spotlight on surplus.
What have we been working on?
It’s now a year since we ran our Big Survey on FAM – this revealed that Service Family Accommodation (SFA) is still an important source of housing for Army families. We’ve been continuing to work with the FAM team to make sure Army families’ views are considered as the pilot scheme continues.
We’re here to help
We encourage you to speak to us about any issue you are having regarding housing. Check out our webpages here and look out on our social media for info and top tips.
