Grants are available for projects which focus on providing targeted support for the Armed Forces community, including families, through the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust.
The trust’s Transformational Grants programme expects to make between five and seven grants of up to £300,000 towards innovative projects that have a national focus. Applicants must evidence that the project will deliver long-term systemic change for specific, unmet needs within Armed Forces communities. Expressions of interest must be submitted by 12 September.
A new medium grants programme, Reaching and Supporting Armed Forces communities, offers funding for up to three years, with grants of up to £100,000, though some projects may be able to access grants of up to £150,000.
This programme will fund projects that help address complex needs especially where evidence has highlighted gaps in support and provision. The application deadlines are 8 August and 14 November.
The Force for Change programme offers grants of up to £10,000 for local projects that respond to hidden and known needs within Armed Forces communities.
The programme has previously supported large variety of projects, including a school recovery and resilience fitness trail, a friendship club where service children can meet older veterans and a ‘vets, pets and pupils’ garden.
The deadlines for the remaining two funding rounds this year are 8 August and 14 November.
