The Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust has launched a new funding programme, Apart Not Alone: Support for Serving Families. Funds of between £5,000 and £15,000 are available for projects that seek to lessen the impact of extended or recurring involuntary separation for families, spouses and serving personnel, including Reservists and their families.
What does the programme hope to achieve?
Apart Not Alone: Support For Serving Families aims to support projects which achieve one or more of the following outcomes:
- improved mental health and wellbeing for serving families;
- increased access to support and activities that improve the quality of life for military families;
- Improved understanding of effective models of support for serving families;
- developing a new approach to support the reintegration of Serving personnel returning to their family homes and units after separation.
Who’s eligible?
Applications are invited from UK-based registered charities, community interest companies with considerable current experience of assisting and supporting military communities, and military units or bases.
You will need to demonstrate how you have identified the gaps in support/provision and show how your project will address these current needs within the community.
When do I need to apply by?
The programme is now open for applications. The closing date is noon on 25 September 2024. For more details, please visit covenantfund.org.uk
