Month of the Military Child

April is the Month of the Military Child, a time to recognise and celebrate the important role Service children have within the military family.

Never Such Innocence is inviting military children aged six to 18 to create a poem or piece of art themed around ‘Life as a Dandelion’. The competition is open to children with a current serving or veteran parent or bereaved military children. The competition deadline is 3 May 2024. On 26 April, it’s ‘Purple Up’ day, everyone is encouraged to wear purple in recognition of the important role military children play in our community. For more suggestions about how your school can join in with the celebration, download Ideas to kickstart Month of the Military Child.

On 28 April, join Little Troopers in Aldershot for a morning full of family fun, including a circus workshop, face painting, crazy golf and balloon modelling, as well as a 10k run and a 1k family fun run.
