AFF team out and about

Employment & Training Specialist, Lucy Ritchie, met the President of the Indian Army Wives Welfare Association, Mrs Pande, at the headquarters of the Army Benevolent Fund (ABF) during her recent visit to the UK.

Mrs Pande has a particular interest in welfare and Service families, and was keen to hear about how AFF and the ABF support serving families and veterans. Lucy and Mrs Pande discussed AFF’s role, the employment and training support we offer spouses and partners and the similarities and differences experienced in supporting Army families here and in India.

Meanwhile, our Manager England, Carole Rudd, travelled to the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre at Stanford Hall in Loughborough.

She joined other organisations for a health fair, speaking to serving personnel about what AFF does and how we can help soldiers and their families.

The aim of the event was to promote health and well-being within the unit and to provide personnel with information on all of the supporting organisations available to them.
