Help shape the future of Defence housing

All serving personnel and their families are being invited to fill in a vital questionnaire to help shape the future of military housing. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to influence change for decades to come.

Defence Secretary John Healey has announced £1.5bn of extra funding over the next five years for longer term and lasting improvements to Service Family Accommodation in the UK.

Whether you’re living in SFA now or may be in the future, this is a crucial opportunity to get your views heard.

Defence Housing review

AFF Housing Specialist Cat Calder is part of the independent Defence Housing Strategy Review, which has been established to explore the full range of accommodation options across the Armed Forces. The questionnaire is an important next step and will inform future housing decisions which reflect your needs and preferences.

New kitchen or more storage?

You’ll be able to tell us what improvements to SFA matter most to you, whether that’s a modern kitchen or bathroom, more storage or new windows.

There’s also the chance to say what would be important to you on a new-build estate, such as green spaces and cycle paths or off-street parking, and answer questions on home ownership.

Your feedback is vital

Your input into the questionnaire will directly inform the review’s recommendations to Ministers and MOD leadership.

At the end, you can sign up to take part in future focus groups and follow-on surveys.

Let us know your views by 22 June. The questionnaire is completely anonymous. We appreciate it is long but it can be completed in stages on the same device. So grab a cup of tea and have your say on the Defence housing of the future.
