The Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust has launched a new grant giving programme, Serving Families: On the Move, awarding funds of up to £120,000 for projects that will improve the quality of life for Armed Forces families impacted by relocation due to military life.
Anna Wright, Chief Executive at the trust, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be releasing the first in a series of new Covenant Fund programmes. Following the insights we received from our public consultation last year, we’ve worked tirelessly to ensure your feedback and experiences have shaped every aspect of these new programmes, to have a positive impact on the lives of our Armed Forces community.”
What does the programme hope to achieve?
Serving Families: On the Move aims to support two to three-year projects which accomplish one or more of the following results:
- improved access to local information to assist military families in new and unfamiliar locations;
- improve availability to activities that promote wellbeing;
- collaborate with families to develop support networks.
Who’s eligible?
Applications from UK-based registered charities, both Armed Forces charities or those keen to collaborate with Armed Forces charities, who have been registered for at least three years.
When do I need to apply by?
The programme is now open for applications, the first closing date is noon on 18 September 2024, with a second closing date in early 2025. For more details, please visit covenantfund.org.uk
