There have been a few incidences recently where access has been blocked to a boiler flue in SFA or electrics have been adjusted – this could cause damage and pose a safety risk.
Families are reminded to make sure that gas or electric appliances are not altered or obstructed, in particular boiler flues. Any interference could cause the appliance to malfunction or prevent boiler emissions being discharged outside the home, resulting in a serious health risk to the household.
Check your windows
Pinnacle is reminding those living in SFA to make sure your window restrictors work. If they don’t, or your windows can be opened more than 100mm when they’re engaged, contact Pinnacle immediately on 0800 031 8628. Catches must not be disengaged where children or vulnerable members of your household are at risk from falling.
