Time to Talk Day

An organisation that provides support for UK Armed Forces personnel and their families is backing Time to Talk Day on 5 February to prompt open conversations about mental health.

Togetherall offers free, anonymous online peer-to-peer support 14 hours-a-day, 365 days a year to those dealing with everything from PTSD or grief, to work-life balance.

It says talking about mental health can be tough but having the conversation has the power to change lives.

Along with online support moderated by clinical professionals, it offers courses teaching techniques to manage depression and anxiety and a range of resources that help you understand more about how you’re feeling.

So far it has provided support to more than 13,800 people in the Forces community.

Time to Talk Day is the nation’s biggest mental health conversation. It’s aimed at encouraging families, friends and work colleagues to check in with one another and make it easier for them to seek support if they need it.

Our health and additional needs pages have more information about sources of support for mental health and emotional wellbeing.
