Back to topAFF is the independent voice of all Army personnel and their families, both Regular and Reserve. We work to improve the quality of life for the Army family, wherever you are in the world, and whatever the terms of your engagement.
We collect evidence about issues that are of concern and highlight problems to the chain of command or service providers, and work with them and other agencies to improve the support they provide to Service personnel and their families.
For more information about how AFF can help, please see About AFF – What is AFF
Back to topSince July 2013 all Reservists must have ILR (Indefinite Leave to Remain) status to enlist and so will be eligible to access most of the facilities and benefits that Regular personnel can access. However, family members may not be eligible for all benefits if their visa status does not allow them recourse to public funds. There may also be some Reservists who enlisted prior to 2013 who don’t have ILR and who therefore may also have no recourse to public funds. Please contact the AFF F&C team at fcsupport@aff.org.uk if you have any questions on this issue.
